Clean Cut Feeder, Advanced Soldering Feeder.
Introducing the new solder feeder designed to reduce flux splatter and minimize solder ball formation. Our innovative Clean Cut Feeder cleanly cuts resin flux-cored solder during feeding, helping prevent sudden flux bursts. It's easy to install and compatible with a wide range of models. The feeder uses a unique 3-blade system that ensures stable reverse solder movement and helps prevent slipping.
Switching to a different solder diameter has never been quicker and simpler, just use the one-touch gearbox replacement feature. A special two-blade design has also been developed. Clean cut feeder patent is currently pending for the special two-blade type.
Flux scattering comparison: Wire solder with and without cutting
In the image above you can visualize the dramatic reduction in flux splatter when using specialized cutting technology during automated soldering. Scoring the resin flux-cored solder before application allows trapped gases to escape gently, preventing sudden flux bursts upon heating.
Flux Scattering Comparison
Without Cutting (Left Graphic): Unnotched solder wire causes significant flux dispersal and solder ball formation. The expanding flux violently erupts upon contact with the heat source, scattering debris up to 50mm away from the solder joint.
With Cutting (Right Graphic): Processing the wire through a notching mechanism (Clean Cut Feeder) almost entirely eliminates flux scattering. The graph shows a highly localized footprint, protecting surrounding electronics from contamination.
Clean Cut Feeder Benefits
- Defect Prevention: Eliminates manufacturing issues caused by stray solder balls or flux splatter bridging sensitive PCB contacts.
- Reduced Maintenance: Keeps the immediate environment clean, minimizing post-production board cleanup and preserving the soldering iron tip.
- Reliable Automation: Integrates seamlessly into robotic platforms using advanced blade systems (such as Fancort's 3-blade mechanism) to cleanly cut the wire while ensuring stable reverse feeding.
Integrating the Clean Cut Feeder technology protects product quality and improves production speed.
Solder Wire Cross-Section & Cut Profile
Sectional and Side Profile of Cut Solder Wire
Solder Wire Cross-Section Analysis: The diagram illustrates how the Clean Cut Feeder physically modifies resin flux-cored solder to prevent splatter during automated soldering. The sectional view contrasts an uncut wire with a processed wire, highlighting a precise V-shaped notch that cleanly exposes the internal flux core, which allows expanding gases to escape harmlessly upon heating. Additionally, the microscopic side profile reveals the feeder's advanced blade mechanism, displaying a targeted pattern of continuous roller cuts and intermittent cuts designed to control flux volume and eliminate solder ball defects on sensitive PCB contacts.
This is where the magic happens.
The Clean Cut Feeder uses a precision cutting mechanism to make a small, segmented incision in the solder wire, exposing the flux and improving solder wetting. This helps reduce soldering defects such as solder balls and splatter, resulting in cleaner, more consistent solder joints. Making an incision into the solder reduces solder balls and flux dispersion by 90% or more. Feeder available in both 2-blade and 3-blade mechanism configurations.
ADVANCED DETECTOR
Solder Feed Shortage, Jamming & Slippage Detector
Boost your soldering precision and prevent costly assembly errors with our Solder Feed Shortage, Jamming & Slippage Detector. Engineered for real-time quality control, this smart monitoring system features an immediate audible and visible alarm for solder shortages, automatically alerting operators the moment solder runs low. It actively detects solder wire jamming and slippage - instantly stopping feeds when wire fails to advance. Equipped with a clear diagnostic error-code system, technicians can troubleshoot fault modes instantly to maximize uptime and improve process reliability.
