The automated tracking of products down to the individual part and component level has proven to have great bottom-line impact. The most direct way to ensure complete quality control of the production process is to mark objects with machine-readable symbols and track them through the entire life cycle.
Introducing the Getech Laser Marking System: The GLMS uses a 30 watt CO2 (Class 4), which is ideally suited for PCB marking. Symbols are marked directly on the part surface and include 1D bar codes, 2D matrix, QR codes and human readable characters. Teaching the mark positions is accomplished via CCD teach camera. The GLMS is highly accurate with positional accuracy of ± .01mm.
The GLMS will produce a clean, high resolution mark on a variety of substrates ranging from plastics to FR4. Highly suited for automated manufacturing environments, the GLMS has mark and scanning speeds (mark size dependent) approximately .3 seconds respectively.
